So, this is supposed to be about an aspie, although it reminds me more of a purely autistic individual, despite his being talkative.

Well, if anyone likes radio dramas...

Thanks for posting that link! I've just finished listening to it, it was an engaging story.

I don't see how Adam was aspie though, he was far too simple-minded. He was supposed to be 14 but came off as being much younger. It's not the first fictional aspie character that has been made to sound like that either. He didn't even have a clue about big things happening in his country. Other than his strong love for his family and his fear of them being injured, I couldn't relate to him.

I was mesmerized by the story just the same.

An interesting, if depressing, story. I liked Adam (though I'm confused as to how he wound up with a western name). I found him engaging and appealing, but like Skilpadde, I kept imagining him as being much younger than he was; no more than ten or eleven at most. As far as the severity of his symptoms, he struck me as a fairly classic aspie, apart from his apparently below age-level intelligence.

I also wondered about his name.

Why is *every* autistic boy, especially in literature and media, named Adam?
