No. Until clicking this thread I hadn't even heard of developmental pediatricians.

Edit: What it's like going to one? What do they do/ask?

Not that I recall, no. My normal pediatrician did help push in getting me diagnosed with autism. Even he saw that I was autistic, and he had also agreed with my parents concerns. He was one of the best doctors I have ever had next to my normal primary doctor I have right now. I can still remember how nice he was and how well he cared for me and supported me every step of the way.

I have seen one all my life. It was difficult switching to a new one when we moved, because the old one had been taking care of me as long as I can remember. Needless to say getting an exam isn't easy when you're autistic and don't like to be touched. My pediatrician was always good at making it as easy as possible for both of us. The new one is good at it too.
