Anyone else noticed the slang word 'sperg' (e.g. to sperg out) that has developed as a derogatory verb deriving from 'Asperger'?

I've run into it once or twice online.

Occasionally, yeah. I guess it's a sign that AS has become well-known enough to develop its own special insult. Kind of like CP and "spaz".

I find it more annoying than insulting.

I dislike it, but it doesn't make me angry or anything. Mostly it's a testament to the ignorance of the people who think it's meaningful.

Thankfully, I've never heard of it. It sounds like an awful disease. :|

It's popular on that wretched hive of scum and villainy known as Something Awful.

No. The term sounds funny though so it doesn't bother me, same as spaz.

You could run with that. A really cold and unfeeling seemy aspie could be an "ice sperg"

Never heard of it before. Honestly, I don't mind if people use that word, but it really depends on how they use it.

Don't you mean "pid"?

Thank you. Now you have encouraged me.

A town with only aspies could be "Sperg burg"

An aspie with an eating disorder could be "purge sperg"

An aspie going to film school could be a "wanna be Speil-sperg"

You could rhyme with it too. An aspie computer tech guy (or gal, no sexism here) could be a "nerd sperg"

An aspie who is just rude and mean could be a "turd sperg"

An aspie English major could be a "word sperg"

You get the idea....
