I looked in love and dating and ppr, and I didn't see anything particularly offensive in threads there.
Possibly I just don't get much feeling from words, some people say that words are powerful, but I have never felt that they are to me.

There were lots of false assumptions made from May to July of 2014 within L and D. On the part of some males and some females. Many of those false assumptions were hurtful to people

I am very much like this too.
Words are conceptual and so not real things.
If I had assigned power to words, then I would have been destroyed as a small child.

I think I might be opposite of many hfas in having more verbal social deficit than non-verbal social deficit.
I would prefer to make faces to connect with people than talk to them.
I would most prefer to dance with them, as a kind of social connecting.
Another kind of social connecting is pillow fight.

Do you have trouble speaking or more with understanding what others say?

More understanding what others say is the problem.
All aspects of receptive speech, from zoning out of people speaking to hearing all the words but not knowing what the statement communicated to not understanding concepts spoken in words, the whole speech processing system seems deficient.

Maybe folks are more irritable because the site has changed? I know a goodly number of us don't like change, so that might be why there are a big number of mean posts.

Plus, the background is white. I wish it were possible to change the color to something darker as it's very glaring. That might be setting some people off too.

It is some kind of speech processing problem in some autistic people.
It could be a sentence as simple as put the book on the bookshelf, where each word was heard, but the meaning was not made out of the individual words together.
This makes verbal instructions hard to understand.

Ahh yes, the Gender Wars of 2014...

That was interesting, though for sheer nastiness I still think Zimmerman/Martin or Obamacare are the current champs, or anything Elliot Rodger related for L&D. Sandy Hook was pretty bad too, I had to edit a lot of profanity out of my quote previews.

Dance has been my special interest for longer than 20 years now, I still do daily practice in classical ballet on my own.
There are two cat-jumps called petit pas de chat, which is the small cat-jump, which my cats cannot do, and grand pas de chat, which is the big cat-jump, which my cats also cannot do, but my male cat can do tour en l'air, which is jumping straight up and do one or more turns around the body axis.
He does it when I play with him with a string, and he is very good at single to single-and-a-half tour en l'air.

That's impressive Eloa, did you have to train him to do it?

No, it evolved naturally playing with him.
He is always playing very physically and wild with jumping in the air and rolling on the floor.
He also brings the toy he wants to play with to me.
This I also did not train him, one day he just came with his string and put it in front of my feet, and since then he always does it with toys.

It's lovely that one of your special interests is dance, Eloa.

It's also very conducive to excellent health.

The best dancers make all that hard work look graceful and effortless.

That looks very acrobatic. Impressive! Is the little black and white cat your other cat. Does she do tricks as well?
