The majority of the posts here seem to be negative - i.e. people posting about problems.

Personally, I'm happy being an Aspie. I know it can be stressful trying to meet the expectations of NT's in your life. Rather than trying to change for the judgmental and controlling NTs, seek out the accepting and helpful NTs - there's lots of them out there.

My NT wife even values my logical and analytical nature - I can be the level head when she gets emotional.

Mindfulness has been shown to significantly improve people's emotional state (even children) using quantitative measures from cortisol levels to FMRI scans. Aspie's tendency to be more logical & analytical than NTs should make it easier for us when learning mindfulness techniques.

People post about problems to ask for help and get it out of their system, though. It's not necessarily a reflection of how they think all the time or of being too focused on negativity, with the exception of people who post just to grate in random threads or accuse others of being neurotypical in the way they handle things. Some don't have anywhere else to talk about what's going on.
