just to clarify something...
when you toe-walk, do you put your toes on the floor first, and then your heels. or do you simply walk on your toes, not letting your heels touch the floor, like i did?

and do you ever walk on your heels without letting your toes touch the floor? i did on occasions, but prefer toe walking.

i dont do it anymore because i've lost the energy. i'm nearing fifty, and so find it easier to walk in a way that requires less effort, and i walk much slower these days, too.

If I have nothing on my feet, I toe-walk so as not to endure the jarring sensation of my heels striking the floor or ground.

I come down on the balls of my feet - that "knuckle" just behind the toes - and rock forward. My dad called it "being sneaky". My wife just thinks it's cute.

when i wear shoes, i just land with pretty much the full foot at once.
however, when not having shoes on (i rarely go barefoot) i will purely step on my toes, only letting my heels down to the floor if i stand still, and not even all the time.

When I wear shoes. I try to keep toe walk down to a minimum and put my whole foot on the ground. I had to train myself to do this because toe walking in my shoes was destroying the soles in them. When I am barefooted, I go onto full toe walking mode and I stand on my toes all the time, even when I'm standing still. My calf muscles are so strong that I can even stand on my toes for hours on end and can easily bounce on them as well.
