I meant to post this yesterday. I got one of the good ER docs yesterday when I went. Most of them are crap and won't effectively treat anything. This one is nice and he's always been very thorough and patient, but he doesn't work there often. I had a Jodie Picoult book with me "House Rules". He noticed it and told me it was about a boy with AS and I told him I know, I'm very familiar with AS. He asked if one of my kids had it and I told him no, I do. He was surprised and said he did too, and it was my turn to be surprised. We talked about the AS for a little bit and what it's like. He's not here but he may check it out. I suggested that he do so.

I thought it was pretty cool. He said he's open about his when he needs to explain something about himself to someone else but otherwise he doesn't talk about it. I said that's exactly how I am.

Cool, huh?

That is cool.

I wish I could go to med school. I have wanted to be a forensic pathologist since I was 14. That will never happen due to the nature of my autism.

Don't give up, Steel Maiden!

If you wanted a friend, I'd be your friend in a second.

Cool Story, Olive Oil!

Cool, I think his approach is correct.

That's neat. :) I'm actually a little surprised that he was so open about it.
