Could I have other issues?
This is really worrying me. I think I might have something besides ADD and Asperger's Syndrome. You see, last year I spoke on a debate in Critical Issues. I didn't know my mom had an opposing viewpoint until just recently. Now I feel like a backstabbing monster. I talked with my old Critical Issues teacher at lunch and I told him that I "lied" when in actuality I changed my mind and now am playing the Switzerland card so I don't look too Republican or Democrat. Later on, I still felt heavy guilt after apologizing to him. I couldn't believe I lied in front of all those kids with my speech. I was too shy to even know 98% of my classmates names but I felt like I HAD to find a way to contact every last one of them to tell them i've changed my mind on the debate. In addition to that, I wanted to have the paper I wrote my speech on back and burn it in a safe way. You see, whenever I change my mind about a viewpoint I had years in the past, I start getting really panicky and feel the need to obsessively change it.

Forgive me if I am entirely off what you are looking for.
I know that on issues that I am interested (politics, history) I can become very talkative very quickly. For a time I can be much more excited then I usually am. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact I have ADD (in addition to Asperger's).
I also have OCD (Obsession Compulsive Disorder). Maybe you have that too. Maybe some other people have some comments that could be helpful.

My mom doesn't think I have OCD but i'm starting to think differently. Maybe I just have OCD traits when it comes to certain things.

I had a similar thing happen once with a "bad conscience". A neighbourhood boy saw me look at a poster with ice cream lollies outside the local Co-op and he asked which one I liked, and we kept saying "Oh, I live this one" and "Oh, I like that one". He told me to come inside the Co-op and I did as he did and we each got an ice cream and walked past the tills saying "We don't have any money" and walked out without paying. Weeks later I realised that this was stealing, I realised it in bed at night and I was TERRIFIED and called my Mum into my room and 'confessed'. I never found out how this worked, I assume his Mum didn't trust him with money and had an agreement with the local Co-op or something.
Kurtman, changing your mind is human nature. Maybe a touch of NT behavior is creeping into your life, sorry about that. I'm 57 years old. You don't want to know how many times my opinions have changed in the course of the last 5 decades.
