Has anyone read this book written by Steven Pinker? I'm about half way through and it's pretty revealing about violence in our history and the trends that have been occurring through history. It's an optimistic look at statistics relating to violence... Well worth the read...

Pinker's a very good linguist.

He made Chomsky's theories understandable to the general public.
