I cannot help but wonder if anyone else relates to these descriptions.

The link "did not work."

I think science has its place---and it is an essential component of how we "make sense" of the world.

if we didn't have science, we would not have reaped the benefits all the discoveries which occurred, especially, since the 17th century AD.

However, I do not believe science is the "end all."

There are things which do not make sense.....and they never will make sense. One has to provide ones "own" sense in these instances.

If one relies solely upon logic, one will, usually, not arrive at many "truths."

This is one of the main dynamics contained within the human world:

The battle between the "head" and the "heart."

Then again...come to think of it...a "singular" focus could lead to quite productive results.

But, hopefully, it will not cause one to totally sublimate "other things" in life--especially after achieving the desired result.

Yes, I can relate to the descriptions in the article that you posted. If a person can focus their abilities well, their career (what ever it may be) tends to open up for them. Aspies usually have that capability due to their special interests and their abilities to spend long periods of time on one subject without getting tired. Most NT people have a hard time focusing their abilities to that fine of a point. So in that regard, Aspies do hold an advantage in certain fields.

Here is a related article that I found that focuses on Paul Dirac:

That is good, because I wanted to know that. Thank you for the link. It was also interesting to read.
