Ultra bright Walmart store lighting

My local Walmart that I enjoyed doing all my grocery shopping at for some reason decided to replace all its overheading lighting with ultra bright (10,000 watt each bulbs?) lights. Man I have to squint the entire time I am in the store and by the time I leave I start to have a headache. Bright lights really are bothersome to me. Why on earth do they need such bright lighting? All it ends up doing is showing how dirty the store really is. They could get away with like 1/4 the number of overhead lighting, what a pain and waste.

Funny! My Wal-Mart does just the opposite. At round 9pm. They actually dim the lights. I like it when they do that.

Maybe you could write a letter to find out if there is a time or store that has dimmed lighting?

They used to have bulletins on their doors advertising how they dim the lights in the store to save energy and be environmental, but I guess that concept blew out the door. Maybe they got a new manager, a Hydro One employee who moonlights at Walmart, who knows. All I know now is it is the brightest store I've ever been in.

I guess I could complain to management. I remember complaining about never having shopping carts available, and having to run out into the parking lot to find one. About 6 months later, magically they had hundreds of carts, all piled up inside and outside the store. Maybe complaining does something? I don't know.

The lights at my Walmart are also extremely bright. The thing is that there's so many things in the store that I like that I go in, anyways.
