So...
Board Games.
Play, Design, Creating... In the last 6 months I've been obsessing over board games - the classics as well as the sub typical (ie the ones you find in comic book shops etc) and I've even come up with four entirely independant board game ideas - and devellopped them right down to the nitty gritty details.

A competetive board game (Theme: Zombies) 4-10 players
A combative cards game (Theme: Wizards) 3-8 players
A quaint little strategy game (Theme: Colonization) 2-6 players
and
A rather unique game that I don't quite know how to categorize...
Let's just say the board is a truncated icosahedron... 4-12 players

I'm sure I don't have to point out how stupid this interest is, considering my lack of a social circle with whom to play existing board games / test the ones I've invented.

Anyone else got a poorly conceived interest?

I once had an interest in (wait for it) windows. And window fitting.
I'm not joking either. I was quite strange as a child haha...

My special interest (politics) is probably the worst for someone with problem of social interaction; and one of my special interests in childhood (military issues) probably was not also a good interest for someone very clumsy and physical weak,

I've had an interest in Windows too. Which is good; without it, I wouldn't be "the tech guy."

I have an interest in seeing how the police end high speed chases. Sometimes they don't do anything, the suspect just crashes the car, how stupid.

Other times they use spike strips or spin out the car so that they have time to box in the car or start a confrontation (police car door opens, guns drawn pointing at suspect).

I was really interested in the penis between the ages 6 and 8. I used to grab the hampton of one of my cousins all the time until he said that he was going to tell my mum. That was the last time I ever did that.

That is a nice window. I much prefer casement windows over the usual double hung ones.

i don't see what's stupid about having a special interest in board games...you just need to find a group that plays them :).

Recently I found out a lot about toxoplasmosis

Board game design is not stupid, a whole lot of people are into board games.

I love inventing new things, some of my original ideas have come to pass through others who brought them to market

Board gamers are not a large percentage of the entertainment dollar, but significant enough, though the heady days of monopoly and scrabble may be gone

Bible prophecies was probably my weirdest obsession (it's actually a very interesting topic I swear -- don't get me started! )

Board games sounds pretty neat -- maybe you could pitch your ideas to a company?

I used to collect magazine subscription cards. I used to have about 500. Until someone angered me in High school, so I filled them all out in his name and checked 'bill me later'. His mailbox must have been packed full of junk for months.

I'm obsessed with Neopets, Petpet Park and other "children's" online game sites even though I'm an adult and many people (because THEY are stupid) would think I was a pedophile or a loser with no life. But I've gone on other virtual sites like HABBO or Maple Story and I found the language that most of the other players were using was disgusting and offensive. One time in HABBO I started the game to find two other male players in my character's room. All I said was "Oh hi" to them and they called me a b***h. But they don't tolerate that on Neopets so I feel "safe" for the most part. Right now I'm also obsessed with the Sims 2 games, which I got for my PC not that long ago. I also bought the Sims 3 and the Sims Medieval but they keep freezing up on my computer which is over 5 years old. My mother said I can get a new computer this Christmas but I don't want to wait almost four months, plus I keep worrying something really awful will happen and I won't be able to get the computer (such as another Great Depression or one of my grandparents dying or even my dad dying). I know that sounds stupid but I can't help thinking it. I also have many collections of dolls and stuffed animals and I used to role-play with them a lot when I was younger (in my 20's!) but I don't do that nearly as much now so I feel like some kind of hoarder like you're always hearing about on TV and I feel nasty and guilty even though I'm not buried alive in them or anything.

I always thought that this would be a most awesome form of revenge against a person or company. You are the first person I have found to have even thought of it too (and actually followed through) LOL.

BTW - as I got older and (hopefully) a little wiser - I have given up on the whole "revenge" thing and don't actually recommend it. Notwithstanding, the object of your wrath receiving 500+ unwanted magazines and bills for them is kind of hilarious.
