Theodore Kaczynski - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Alan Turing - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Ludwig van Beethoven - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Nikola Tesla - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Albert Einstein - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Bill Gates - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Thomas Jefferson - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Steve Jobs - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Isaac Newton - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
John Robison - No Confirming Diagnosis or Public Admission
Temple Grandin - Diagnosis Confirmed by Public Admission

So ... Are we allowed to post any name we want, without regard to whether or not the persons "outted" themselves or were even ever diagnosed?

How about limiting the list to only those people who have publicly "outted" themselves?

Temple Grandin
Alex Plank
Jerry Seinfeld
(later retracted)

While your standard is entirely reasonable, I for one took OP's inclusion of personalities clearly not meeting it from the very start as indicating a speculative (rather than factual) context for the thread.

Edit: I also assumed that the OP meant John Elder Robison but I may very well be wrong.

You can add Daryl Hannah to that list.

I just looked her up... She seems to say she's shy but she is brave in her films.

Wow. I was looking for on-line confirmation of these claims, and found this: "List of people with autism spectrum disorders".

It includes references at the bottom of the page; but the opening paragraph puts it all in the appropriate context ...

Quote:
This is a list of notable individuals who have been diagnosed with autism, Asperger syndrome (AS), or another condition on the autism spectrum. Due to the fluctuating and imprecise criteria for the diagnosis of Asperger syndrome and autism, even a formal diagnosis cannot be taken as certain proof that person has a condition on the autism spectrum. Many public figures have been retrospectively diagnosed as autistic by clinicians, academics, and biographers. The reliability of such diagnoses, and their acceptance among the general medical, scholarly, and historical communities vary wildly.

Mother Theresa's niece, Niece Theresa
Zeus
Monica Lewinsky
Peter Pan (comorbid ADHD)
Tone Loc
Rodney Dangerfield
Miss Piggy
Satan (also comorbid ADHD)
Jaleel White
Stravinsky
Olivia Newton-John

did I miss any guys????//???/?

Clearly you are correct!

Quote:
Theodore Kaczynski was troubled by more than schizophrenia. He had a serious problem in his 7th chart with his Angle/moon/saturn/pluto. An "Asperger’s" or semi-autistic set, it showed a powerful breach in his relationship with his mother, and, through her as model, to women in general, and perhaps, to the whole female side of his own nature. Women are gentle, soft.(footnote 3) Ted Kaczynski did not dare to be. When this set was activated at nine months, he was way too young for such overwhelming destruction of his human potential.
