sensory malfunction? noisy shoes

Walking in noisy shoes is unbearable to me,take a step; tap! tap! "Shush!"-me to my shoes. Or squeaking.
It makes me not want to move and grates every nerve in my head. Its just another annoying restriction on shoe shopping.
On the upside I'm excellent at sneaking up on people without meaning to. Ninja style!
Would you call this a sensory malfunction? Clearly other people are happy with tapping under their feet...
I mind other peoples noisy shoes less, its partly not wanting to draw any attention to myself.
