Did you stop taking them and begin taking them again with a doctor's advice or by yourself? Cos most of these psychoactive meds are to be started or stopped only gradually. If you start/stop them abruptly they can cause serious side effects.

Was it an antidepressant that you took? Are you now diagnosed with a form of bipolar disorder with psychotic features?

Ah that explains it!

The 4 medications, each have powerful side effects on their own.
Since you took them so close together, the combined drugs made it worse.

If the current medication is still causing problems, then you will be forced to change again.

All Psychotropic medications including strictly anti depressants, have huge side effects that users can get.
3 of the medications you listed are anti psychotics and Prozac is the only one that can fit the definition of anti depressant.
Anti psychotics are one of the highest classes of medications known currently.

The side effects can take years to leave your system, it is possible they are permanent.

These medications have only been around since the 1950s and the effects on the brain aren't well studied, especially long term.

I had huge side effects from the medication they put me on, most side effects were permanent.
Hell Ablify made me more restless and gave me restless leg syndrome.
Irony is I can't take the only medication designed to stop restless leg syndrome because it makes me sick to my stomach.

The rest did other stuff to me as well, including weight gain, screwing up my sleep pattern, mood swings, etc...

Thankfully the generic form of Cymbalta only gives me the side effects of sleepiness and weight loss (which i need).
It also works well for me.

Though if you are guy under 35, I suggest you stay away from Risperdal, because it has huge side effects on young guys and boy exclusively, which has lead to a huge federal lawsuit.

P.S. you cannot get Asperger's from medication.

I have had aspergers my whole life , even got sent to a rtf when I was 16 which bassivly locks in my diagnosis since it was 24/7 monitoring for a year .

Hell a punched a staff member cause I thought he was making fun if me and he said if I hit him again he would pin me down and inject me ,guess what happened ?yep I hit him.

Attacking those surely stronger then you is a big sign of mental illness

Yes, I had a "high mood" after messing up my antidepressant dose 4 years ago. I didn't get hallucinations but I did develop delusional thinking, particularly delusions of grandeur.

I was advised to stop taking the antidepressant with immediate effect and spent two weeks manic and one week mixed.

After that period I wasn't quite so depressed and we agreed that I would continue without medication for a period. After some months I had severe mood dysregulation and requested to take a different medication to help me.

I began taking an atypical antipsychotic. I developed hyperprolactimia and was forced off it. So I changed to another antipsychotic which is what I've been on ever since.

I'm pretty happy with my current dose, I tried to quit once but wasn't ready. I do hope to one day come completely off it but it's not an urgent priority.

I don't need a high dose and my psychiatrists have always held the view that it should alievate only the most extreme emotions but that I need to learn to regulate my own emotions so I've never been in a position where it's been pushed higher and higher.
