Since last September, i started looking up autism spectrum disorders when I asked my mom about my specific type of disability. I thought for a while it would be just another general knowledge when in a matter of a few months, it turned into an automatic expansion. I could not help to stop it and it grew to knowing more and more nuerological diseases kind of like in the same way how a cancer tumor grows rapidly. As a result, I know a lot about autism, developmental disabilities, and nuerological conditions including rare ones. I kept self diagnosing myself with different types of autism I think I might have. Now, I want to turn the tables around. I have done well not knowing what type of autism I have. And Temple Gradin says that might be the key as well. Since I know I don't have Asapergers, I could just go on leaving the obsession with autism and nuerological conditions with just seeing myself as ASD.
And there is a connection between what Temple Gradin says, 'Don't get Hung Up on your autism diagnosis." and use the intellectual absorbsion instead to useful things like computer science. My target intellectual obsession would be marine biology, oceanography, and technology. Using Gradin's advice and the Tetris effect, it would work.
