Often when something rubs against my skin, like a cat's whiskers touching me as it licks or somene running their fingers through my hair, I will go into a sort of trance-like state where the sensation of touch seems overly hypersensitive but only in that certain area. Like that's the only thing I can feel. At the same time I will tune out of any other senses including sight and sound. It's not an unpleasent feeling. The contrary actually. But it only happens with repeditive actions of other living creatures as they touch me.

I'm wondering how many others this happens to, and might this same feeling be why others with AS seem to dislike touch?

Yes I feel that too. It's a trance, or maybe it's a focus on that to the exclusion of all else. It's very wonderful, whatever it is.

I know the feeling, it is with a light touch. I like it.
