Please watch this and tell what you think of it. I thought it was rather moving...made me cry...except there are a few autistic people that are successful now,and saying that we're ALL like that is...not right...

WARNING: this video is 10 minutes long.

I watched about half of it. It was very repetitive and that seriously gets on my nerves. Plus it sounded as if he wanted us all to feel sorry for him.

It seems like it was written by an NT from an autie's point of view. Some of the children shown at the beginning were low functioning at that time. The end seemed more in line with AS.

Of course, it is untrue that just because you have AS, you will never marry and have a family. That is a broad sweeping generalization. We are a heterogenous group; we all don't have the same issues.

I just finished watching it. I could figure out that it was based on a guy's life but the narration was buy a girl. I am right or was that a guy? I liked his voice if it was.

I also got bored with the video and agree that this seems very much like an NT interpretation of autism.

If you look at the profile of the person who made this video - they also have another one of Alison Singer (the Autism Speaks person). I found it interesting too that when the person indicated they had to take medication - pause the video and see it is Kirkman which is a supplement company. Couldn't tell what supplements were though. Also - the part of the video where the parents are holding up pictures - seems like something from some of the anti-mercury rallies where they hold up signs with their kids pictures on them and say they were mercury poisoned. I wonder if anyone else noticed that.
