Humor in pain

So, who else uses humor to deal with pain? No, it doesn't make everything okay but without humor, life is miserable to me.

I can't say I do, but it's definitely a positive coping strategy.

If not for pain, there would be no humor. Humor is a way of dealing with things that are otherwise unacceptable. Try to analyze any joke, and you'll find something disturbing at the heart of it.

You have to be funny to be genuinely tough. Without laughter a struggle is just a defeat.

I have a quite dark and edgy sense of humor that helps me deal with painful situations. Many people find some of my jokes very inappropriate.
