Being diagnosed with Asperger's at 14, I was assuming that the reason I can't remember my homework and/or important events and things of that nature, is because of it. But now after trying many different techniques and ways to remind myself to do things and none of it seems to ever work. It'll be hard to make it through high school and my dream job as an Aeronautical Engineer if I can't remember a thing. So I would like some help on how I could develop a more responsible way of doing things and how I can make it through school.

I suggest talking to your parents and high school counselor/teachers about putting together a plan to help you with organizing homework and deadlines. When I was in junior high, I had a plan to help me organize. Teachers could email you and your parents the assignments that you have to do each night, and your parents can remind you if you forget. After you think you are done with homework, you could get your parents to check if you did it all. If you forget to do some homework, you could ask for an accommodation from your teachers that you can turn it in one day late for full credit. I think that is reasonable to give you one more chance than other students to turn in homework. How are doing on homework when you do remember to do it and how are you doing on tests in various subjects?

I'm doing rather decent in school. It's just that the work and the pressure my school puts on me it's just very hard to handle. Tests aren't a big deal either. I can remember almost everything that my teacher taught yesterday, I just can't remember the extra, outside of class things.

Do what my dad did and get a wife who looks after all the outside things. But try and choose one who, also like my mom, isn't constantly upset with you for not doing those things. :-p

Habits and lists. Once something becomes habit, you will do it even if it's not necessary. If you habitually, when assigned a task, put it on a list somewhere, and you train yourself to habitually check the list, the list does your memory that way for you. This way you are really only training yourself in 2 things; writing on a list and checking the list.
