Has anyone here cut out Fluoride & noticed a difference?

Obviously, specifically, a difference in brain function.

I've read/watched several things online about fluoride calcifying the pineal gland and causing neurological problems.

Where I live, our water supply hasn't been fluoridated since 1972, and I rarely consume any commercially prepared beverages, and for the last several months I don't even use commercially produced toothpaste - so I get very little fluoride, which is just fine by me considering the negative affects I've heard about.

Just curious if anyone here lives somewhere w/ fluoride in the water & has eliminated it and noticed a difference, and if so, what difference? I've read some descriptions of people becoming more "aware," and "connected," and in tune with spirituality, nature, other people etc, but I'm curious if there's anyone who's done this and noticed any improvement in Autistic or ADHD traits.

Annnnnd, this song reminds me of a few conspiracy theories:

Not that I noticed. Mom raised me on distilled water... things didn't really get worse when I left home, except of course that I no longer had anybody to remind me to take care of myself. I'm gonna assume it was the total lack of any sort of assistance that caused my problems, not the fluoridated water.

That said, I prefer my water to be fluoridated; dental health is highly correlated with lifespan and general health, probably because good teeth mean you can get good nutrition more easily. While I can take care of that by reliably brushing my teeth, many people aren't as obsessive about keeping their teeth gunk-free, and for them the fluoridated water can make the difference between dentures at 50 and a full set of teeth at 70.

There is fluoride in the water supply where I live and I have started drinking distilled water and using a non fluoride toothpaste that I order online. I haven't noticed any specific changes yet but it has only been a few months. I know I still get some fluoride since I have to use the water for many things but I am trying to avoid it as much as I can.

Caution to you guys who are avoiding fluoride: Please, please keep your teeth clean. While it's not proven that the levels of fluoride in the water are a problem, it's entirely proven that bad dental health can lead to bad nutrition. When you don't have that extra boost from fluoride, you need to be extra careful.

Fluorine is nasty. Fluoride, less so. The conspiracy theories are largely groundless.

A lot of Rx pills have a lot of fluoride in them. I had a very bad reaction to one of those. If you are at all sensitive to fluoride you might want to look into that.

I don't want to give medical advice over the 'net but there is a lot of data out there if people want to look into it.

I use a non fluoride toothpaste and it tastes better and works better anyway. Fluoride is not necessary for any reason. Fluorosis is nasty.

By that logic most people around here shouldn't have their teeth anymore.. our water hasn't been fluoridated since 1972, that's 41 years ago. I'm 30. Granted, most of my life I've used toothpaste w/ fluoride and did receive fluoride treatments at dental visits, but still.. you'd think there would be an awful lot of people who live around me with awful teeth if there was any truth to what you posted.

Heck, it's illegal to treat water with fluoride in many countries - and possibly for very good reason if it does far more harm than good.

So people who DO take care of their teeth have to ingest medicated water because some morons DON'T?

And what's the aim in drinking the stuff if it is only for your teeth, hmm? It's similar to putting sunblock in your eyes as well as on your nose.

Here... have some "science" (from "official" source documents) regarding flouride as explained by a mother who got the sources directly from the industries herself...

Adding direct You-Tube URL because forums being wonky... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IjyE291BcE&fmt=18

I gather the idea of drinking it is that it gets incorporated into your body and so ends up in your teeth, which is more effective (and potentially dangerous) than simply brushing with it.

I don't know whether the benefits outweigh the risks or not, but I think that fluoridating the drinking water supply, compulsory medication, is health fascism.

Let's do it ! Let's go over non-corporate independent-collected research-results regarding fluoride...

There is no scientific evidence to indicate that a low concentration of fluoride in water presents health benefits.

Neither is there any scientific evidence to indicate that a low concentration of fluoride in water presents a health threat, despite whatever the conspiracist nutters may claim.

I'm inclined to believe that lifetime use of fluoridated water and toothpastes and stuff could easily disrupt one's body in some slow-growing way, making it not much of a concern.

I'm far more concerned about the endocrine disruptors (hormone mimickers) that is being found in water that everyone is blaming on birth control and anti-depressants. I seriously doubt that medication is to blame for this; there are endocrine disruptors in pretty much all plastics. If it's getting into the water supplies I don't know why we think it's being put in there by our urine.

I am using non-fluoridated toothpaste only because the ones without triclosan also don't have fluoride, and triclosan is an endocrine disruptor.

For what it's worth, I find that much tap much water has a chlorine-ish taste to it.

Sodium fluoride (or, hydrofluorosilicic acid) isn't even close to the same thing as natural calcium fluoride ( http://www.livescience.com/37123-fluoridation.html ). Those who add it to local drinking-water supplies do so while wearing hazmat suits ( http://www.naturalnews.com/031892_fluor ... osive.html http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=23e_1298089955 ). It was (and in some cases still is) the main ingredient in rat poison ( https://www.ehow.com/about_6544969_fluo ... oison.html ). It is the main ingredient in SSRI antidepressants ( http://articles.mercola.com/sites/artic ... flife.aspx ). It is clear to me that, because sodium fluoride is a hazardous material which would otherwise need to be buried at the cost of billions of dollars, somebody decided it would be easier to make billions of dollars selling it to us human coffee filters. I could go on, but....

I reduced (one can never avoid all instances of sodium fluoride because of processed food coming from locales which fluoridate drinking water) my sodium fluoride consumption significantly years ago and adopted several diet and supplement ideas to reduce its effects. The U.S. government that once said the fluoridated drinking water was a miracle drug is now back-peddling that idea ( https://www.federalregister.gov/article ... vention-of ) and hoping nobody notices its duplicity.

When I reduced my consumption, I was more alert, had better short term memory and actually calmed down.
