Does anyone else cope well with social situations if you're in control?
I know what to do then.

But If it's a situation where someone else is in control then i feel overwhelmed and don't always understand the way they think and look at things. The other person's way of thinking and behaviour can seem strange to me, if it's nothing like the way I would behave.

I prefer to be second in command, you can also survive a coup d'état!

I've often been told that I analyse situations well and give good advice, but I have no real interest in wasting time trying to control some members of certain groups, let others think they're in control lol

EDIT: Missed the coup!

Actually I agree that is better. I don't like others to try and get me to do things though.
I used to go to a social club and the people were always respectful to me,but I've been to other places and the people tried to force me to join in.

Where I'm from (Yorkshire) people are very forthright and get people involved, we use colourful language that can be considered controlling by others, but generally always in an inclusive and positive way.

If I didn't want to go to school my Mom would always say to just go and you'll feel better once you get there, I generallysoon forgot about my issues ;)

When a late teen, in the late 80's / early 90's there was a massive influence of football, so I was dragged along, I can now look back and see how unaware of my condition I was and what I was coerced into, however, I had a life that I really wouldn't of had if I'd been left to my own devices.

Do you still follow football?

I know what you mean---the 80's-90's was a pretty intense time for English football.

I follow baseball, American football, basketball, and golf.

Never been interested in football, just come from a big city with two large teams, you got to pick a side else you get trouble from both!

Same here. I'm also not good at initiating things on my own so if I was in control I wouldn't be in a social situation in the 1st place.
