It is okay to feel all your feelings.

Even if they do not make sense to other people.

Even if they do not make sense to you.

It is not always okay to act on them. And sometimes it is a good idea to keep your feeling private, if you can. But it is always okay to feel all your feelings.

I think that many feelings are reactionary thoughts to a stimulus. The brain has differing thought processes (id, super id, ego, super ego), so some agree and some disagree. After collecting these thoughts about the stimulus we compare them to make a decision.

So, IMO, many thoughts and feelings can be safely ignored because we have judged them to be irrelevant or wrong for the given situation.

I once had a bit of a business mentor who said, to make sure a business succeeds you first have to work out how it could fail, and I find that true in computer programming too when validating user input.

It isn't ok, nor is it not ok. Ok doesn't apply to feelings. Feeling them is neither good nor bad, neither wrong nor right. It is neutral.
