This test is meant to measure intelligence above the high average range. It is not very long (only 24 questions). I finished it in one day.

Quote:
This is a very hard test! Only 1 person out of 50 can get a balanced score that is above 0.
So if you decide to take the test you should be aware that you might in fact get a very low score!

Also keep in mind that the test usually takes several hours, even days, to complete.

My intelligence is measured in 120-129 range (128 was my best so far) but I got 0 on this test. No surprise here. I know I'm not in the highest 2% of society. Highest 8% - yes. But not 2%.

The test took me 30 minutes(yeah, I was not forcing myself). I figured out my answers in 18 of 24 questions but I can't be sure if my way of thinking is good because they don't provide correct answers and my answers are not enough to get over 0.

So who are the geniuses who scored 8 and 10? Make yourselves known!

I've never undergone an IQ test, but scored a 9...

There were about 5 I was stumped on, but ended up working through them. I eventually ended with 2 which I couldn't determine enough information to "feel" confident I had the right answer for. As it was time to knock off for the day, I went with my gut on those last 2.

I took roughly an hour to do the "test".

I got a 4. I probably didn't do too well on the matrices since I usually get sensory issues with them. Another reason why I actually should score higher on IQ tests than I have (simply because the matrices part is often partially or completely missing). Test was pretty hard though.

PS: I would say that people who answer higher scores in the poll might bluff to not look bad. There is no security for them to actually be telling the truth unless they screenshotted it.

forget the screenshotting, you can manipulate your own score using basic HTML skills: http://www.etienne.se/cfnse/score10.htm

That would be a silly thing to do. They don't look good or bad because the poll votes are anonymous.

However people could still lie about their score to look better than others. Bragging and self-inflation of ego aren't just NT possible traits but occur a lot among people with AS too. Even if it may be pointless as no one should care about people who try to prove that they are something they aren't, people still do it as they might find it necessary for personal reasons. Additionally an anonymous vote can still invoke a lie from a participant. There is something called probability and chance and the probability exists no matter how pointless and ridiculous the background may be.

I'd have to agree that sadly, some people will always try to game any system, either for perceived or actual advantage.

Having said that, I'd like to think that with the anonymity of the internet that there would be less need for gaming something like this, but I guess that's unlikely.

The important thing is that, whether people declare their results or not, anyone who attempts this (or any other online test) will have to live with either the knowledge that they earnt the results they achieved, or that they weren't confident enough in their own ablities to give it an honest shot. I know I'd prefer to honestly score badly on a test such as this, rather than "game" the test to make me seem something I'm not.

Whether I'd declare the bad result in an online test, however, is a different matter, and would probably depend on the circumstances. This makes me wonder how many people may have attempted the test, and felt their results weren't worth "broadcasting" because they felt they weren't a true reflection of their abilities. In the case of this test, even a 0 isn't bad due to the area of the population it covers, and there's no way to know if you only just missed out on a higher score by 1 question.

A good™ IQ-Test should take at least 600 or 800 hours to complete. Also, getting high scores on IQ tests is very simple, just keep doing a lot of IQ-Tests over and over and over and over, lots of different ones, and you are basically guaranteed to eventually reach scores of 238 or higher, like the author of the EBTX web-site did years ago.

That said, even though I have not bothered with the test in this thread, I am not going to bother either, and will just make the claim that I'm I would score a "0" simply because I ignore IQ-Tests these days (have not bothered to take one for like over ten or fifteen years now, even though the last time I did, the score came out to something like 141). I think a better measurement if one's intellect is their ability to question the status quo instead of just being parrot-products™ of the American-"Education"™-System...

I am going to continue to work™ on establishing™ myself as the horniest™ forums™-member as well as the craziest™ out of all of the "Crazy-Conspiracy-Theorists"™ of course for now !

8 is me, from two days ago. I took me a few hours to complete.

There were 3 answers I picked randomly (2.4, 2.5 and 6.1), so maybe I had a little luck and maybe I should have a score like 6 or 4. Who knows...

Amongst the answers that were not picked randomly, there were only two I couldn't be 100% sure (4.3 and 5.4).

It was a funny test, especially part 3!

Actually it seems to be rated by difficulty of question. So randomly picking answers on hard questions could actually boot you down to between 0 and 2 if you get them wrong.

i scored 4.
i was unsure of the missing line coordinates in question 3 of section 5. i think i got that question wrong.

in question 1 of section 6, i did not follow the idea of which sequence i should look at the figures in. they seemed splattered around. i think i got that question wrong.

in the correct diagram solution for question 4 of section 3, there was a glaring error which i found astonishing.
it is surprising it has not seemed to be noticed and corrected.

I took it in about half an hour and got a 3. Some parts were very easy, others not so much. When I went back over it, I got a 6.

I was abysmal on section 5, only got the 1st one right on that, I think. I'd like to know what the right answers for the rest of that section are because I have no idea.

I am pretty sure 5-3 is (4,23),(5,22) and I suppose 5-4 might be (16,4),(16,4) - a point, not line.
I have no idea whats up with 5-2.
