Not sure if this is an aspie trait or not, but thats why I am asking so I know.

anyhoo question. Do any of you have to be told a few times maybe 5 times more or less, to do something before actualy getting round to doing it.

e.g. somebody telling you to get a hair cut but not actualy doing it untill the fifth time somebody mentions it to you. or when they have actualy lost their patience with you?

Yes. The first example that comes to mind is this one time where my sister kept commenting on my hairy legs for about a week before I finally got tired of it and shaved them.

Yeah I had to get a shave today as I was getting nagged at for weeks to shave it.

Yes. I wish I wouldn't be so lazy and just do it but I tend to forget so I need to be reminded. I know I should do things NOW or else I will forget.

Although I have to say, if someone was nagging me about hair cuts or shaving, it would probably make me annoyed and less likely to actually do it.
Nagging about things like washing dishes and laundry, though, I need a lot of that.

My wife has to tell me at least half a dozen times before I do something she wants me to do. I just get distracted and tune her out sometimes. Guess its my untreated ADHD. Maybe I should look into it again.

I don't consider it laziness. There are a lot of things that people care about that I simply do not care about. I will do it if they make it clear that it is important to them or if they let me know why it is important.

Hey, other people don't do what I ask them to do; why should I do what they ask me to do?

Yeah, I most definitely can relate, though I don't always "conform" through reminders if that makes any sense lol.

This is also why I have full untrimmed beard, and long hair at the moment, not necessarily because I said "i'm going to grow a beard, or grow my hair out" but just because over time it kinda happened due to me not shaving or going for a hair cut lol.

This was a lot worse when I was a child. My mother had to do the nagging. I hated that.

I always forget to do things I don't give a s**t about, like taking in/out the trash(cans), or emptying the dishwasher, and other things.

I'm like that too. I hate when people try to nag me into doing something and it only makes me less likely to do it. If they ask me to do it and I say yes, they can be sure that I will do it, but I will do it at a time that suits me (within a reasonable deadline of course). If they keep bugging me about it or trying to push me into doing it sooner, without any valid reason for why that's necessary and just because that would suit them better, I get annoyed and do it even later than I originally intended to. I hate when people act like control freaks and try to nag or pressure me into doing things their way.

I really hate being controlled by other people, so if someone tries to control me I usually refuse to do any of the things they try to push me into, even if I'm not really against the actual things they're trying to get me to do. I just don't want them to think they can control me and get their way through pressure, because that would make them try it even more.

I also hate when people try to push me into doing things that I don't really want to do or that I disagree with or just don't feel up to dealing with and that are not necessary.

Agreed, it's a matter of attention and priority.
