Hi,
I am looking into a theory that links chromosome 16 with autism.
I'm autistic, and think it more than a coincidence that I have two genetic mutations in appearance because of chromosome 16- and autism has been scientifically linked to just that.
Does anyone else have any form of red/ginger hair?
Or double eyelashes?
Also, chromosome 16 mutation has been linked to ADHD, obesity and synaesthesia.

What are double eyelashes? I am a redhead, with ADHD, but I am not obese.

You have two rows of eyelashes on the top, and two on the bottom. (It just looks like really thick eyelashes).

I do have thick eyelashes and they always get in my eye while attached to the eyelid  but how do I tell if they're double or not? I'm not sure what to look for.

In my case, I have 2 rows of lashes. One atop the other. This only applies to the outer third or half of my eyelids. You can easily see the additional set. Look close-up, in a mirror. If you cannot tell, then, perhaps use a magnifying glass. Hope this is helpful. : )

Oh, I thought it was normal. I have 2 rows on the bottom. The top seems to have at least 2. More in places, it's really hard to tell though.

Do regular eyelashes just grow in a straight line? I'm not convinced this is out of the ordinary what I'm seeing on my eyes.

It could, very possibly be normal. I've never looked into it. I've just always been aware that I have 2 sets of lashes on my upper eyelids. You've caused me to wonder, so I'm going to try and find some info pertaining to it.

Does this mean this could be generalized to all autistic people? I think not... might it be just related, and not necessitated? Or is it just the severely autistic who have these eyebrows?

I found this online.

I've always had thick full lashes and a mustache, but I think it's pretty normal because my father was Greek.
My mustache was obvious by the time I was in fourth grade, but I have brown hair, not red.

Weird, looks pretty much exactly like my eyelashes.
