I hate it when a motorist with a loud vehicle drives past my block. It hurts my hearing.

It annoys the hell out of me also, but at least I can turn down my hearing aids. In my area though it's mostly motorcycles because loud automobiles will not pass emissions (smog) standards to be licensed in my state.

Yes, absolutely. That rumbling vibrating noise reaches the core of my head and irritates me to the point where my tongue tingles and feels slightly numb. As a result, I can no longer taste good espresso coffee.

I do hate loud motorized vehicles, yes.

I live on a main thoroughfare (I don't have a lot of choice about that), and even with my windows closed, I still hear a contant "white noise" of traffic rushing past. Every so often there is a particularly loud vehicle -- the worst are motorcycles, REALLY loud motorcycles. But there are also these large buses/coaches that take people to airports, and the motors on those sound as loud as a large airliner coming down the street.

I actually miss bits of sound on my TV when one of these vehicles come by; I either have to turn up the volume or time-slip back to see what I missed.

YES. There are so many people around here with stupidly loud trucks and motorcycles, it drives me f*****g nuts!

Definitely, yes. Idling trucks and 4-by-4s are the worst.

Yes, especially motorcycles and large trucks. Fortunately, I have noise-cancelling headphones.

When i am not expecting it, its awful. But I kind of like muscle cars so to hear their engine rev is kind of exciting. When I know its gonna happen.

It depends on what kind. I love the lope of a good old muscle car and hearing glasspacks always reminds me of my old Mustang. But I don't like the crappy ones that are loud for no reason. I hate the way rice boy cars sound when they are loud. It's just not the same. :-(

Yes, I do not like loud motors. I have sensitive hearing and do not respond very well to loud sudden noises.

Indeed, it compels me to hand-flap especially from chopper bikes and cars that have been modified.

Ooooh, I didn't even remember choppers until you mentioned that. Harley ones. Yessssssssssssssss. I love them. I seriously love that sound. But I wouldn't like it to wake me up when I'm asleep though, but otherwise it's nice.

Have you ever ridden on a loud bike or driven a loud car? There is just something about it. I can't describe it. I'm talking about something that is supposed to be loud, not loud because the muffler fell off or it wore out. It's just a primal feeling kind of to drive something with a nice sound.

Mmmm, yes, I despise loud motors and machinery in general. People on 4 wheelers and motor cycles are particularly annoying along with those cold exhaust pipes that attention seeking teens stick on their cars. My dad use to call these people "yayhoos".

Diesel trucks and big riggs are next in line. It messes up my groove mang! Makes it hard to hear the bass frequencies in my chiptunes. 8)

But even without music, they are really obnoxious and sometimes painful noises.

I put those on my car when I was 17, but it was purely for my own pleasure. Duals were for performance but the glasspacks were just for me. I just enjoyed the hell out of it, although it was awkward to drive in residential neighborhoods at night because I was always trying to be quiet. But when I took that thing out on the track it sounded like I was sitting on top of POWER, which is what I liked.
I could tell you how to go mess up somebody's glasspacks but I won't cause I'll get a warning PM and that will just start an argument between me and a mod and I'm in no mood for that.
