A couple of 14 year olds went on a 19 foot long boat out to sea. They somehow went through the inlet alone and their parents told them not to do so unless there were in a bigger boat and with an adult. There were even some news reports that may be untrue that the boys were headed to the Bahamas. But whatever the reason was, the boys went out in the little boat anyway. And it has been six days into the search. At this time there is small hope that they would be found.

This news reminds me of Abby Sunderland when her sailboat capsized in the Indian Ocean when she tried to sail around the world. Thankfully, she had ocean safety gear that even had NASA satellites, where is she exactly when in trouble. I know of a sailboat model that is about the same size as the little boat the two 14 year olds were on. But that boat has a very different design and construction, it has been proven capable of sailing transoceanic and around the world. The boat is called the Flicka 20.
Reading the news about the boys in the boat just puts more fear on me of adventure.

This should be in "current events".

Doesn't have much to do with the "general autism".

Adventurers bent on making into the Guinness Book of World Records have crossed the Atlantic ocean in boats shorter than the height of an adult human (row boats, as well as sail boats). And yet the three foot ball fields long 60 thousand ton Titanic failed to make it across that same Atlantic on its maiden voyage, and took 1500 people with it. The sea is as capricious as it is cruel.

There is that NFL player still missing at sea from a similar mishap on the opposite side of Florida a couple of years ago. A bunch of team mates hired a boat to go fishing on the Gulf side of Florida. They hooked a big marlin, or something, and the fish flipped their whole boat over. And they were all missing for days. The body of one still hasn't been found.

They were only a few miles off the Florida coast, but they were still in....the Devil's Triangle! Bru ha ha ha ha ha!

Obviously abducted by aliens, along with the crew Flight 19.

They were probably sucked into a wormhole and went back in time to 3000 B.C. where they will be worshiped as Gods.
Not so bad really.

Why are missing and probably dead children supposed to be a joking matter?
