As I mentioned in my earlier post, I will be attending a fancy party soon and that just got me thinking, if the party gets overwhelming should I just leave without saying anything or maybe tell the host (who is my Cousin) that I have Pddnos and I cannot handle the situation?

Hmm if you can not handle it I think you should say to the host thank you for the invite, it's a lovely party but i really must go home as i'm not feeling well.

In that situation it's best to make up you feel unwell instead of saying it's because of pddnos even though that's the truth.

The only thing is that in the beginning make sure you talk to the host a little bit and smile.

At the party If you can try to stay near the exists, you can hang out by yourself and pretend to be texting or something.

Yeah if you need to leave it would be nice to tell your cousin. You don't really need an excuse to leave, you could just say you're taking off and just leave it at that. Or just say you're tired, uncomfortable or not feeling well. Unless your cousin understands pddnos, I wouldn't mention it.

I think this is very good advice. I sometimes go to things that I don't like and just make sure that I greet the person who invited me and the few other people that I know, which usually means walking around the room. And then I walk around again saying I have to leave early and then I go. Everyone is fine with this. They see that you made the effort.
