Can I have myself locked up for a few days?

I was wondering if there was any kind of place where someone can go and ask to be locked up in a room for a couple of days and they would do it. Sometimes I feel really stressed, and even downtime by myself isn't enough, and I would just like to go somewhere where they would physicaly lock me inside of a room for a couple days, a place I would not be able to get out of, so I can reflect on my life and maybe appreciate my freedom more, and I could just feel safe for the time being. I wanted something like this for years and the closest thing I could find was a mental ward, but there is so much hassle and the danger of being held there for a long time. I know this request sounds weird, but I'm not trolling and would like something like this very much.

There are silent retreats, that might be the closest thing.

Maybe a sex dungeon? A professional dominatrix might be able to provide this service, but it could be very expensive. For the most part, people will be unwilling to lock you in anywhere because it is a crime called "false imprisonment".

If all you need is some time to yourself you could just as easily rent a hotel room for a few days, take along all the food you need, and then lock YOURSELF in. Just put the "Do Not Disturb" hanger on the doorknob.

I probaly would not go so far as to go to a sex dungeon, but it's something to consider? O_o

I am kind of suprised that thre are no places where I could sign a form commiting myself, and have myself locked up. The place I have in mind would be simaler to a regular locked mental ward, but there
would not be doctors playing mind games to 'be absolutly sure' I am sane enough to be release. I was involuntairly commited once and believe me, dealing with the doctors was no fun at all, and they
did play those games I mentioned with me. I guess what I have in mind is a lite version of a locked ward?

Another thing I considered was simply to go to a police station and ask if I could just sit in a holding cell by myself for a few hours, probaly tell them I am doing research on what it is like to experience being confined.

I know all this sounds crazy, but it is something I personaly need
once in a while. :|

I don't find it surprising, since there would be almost zero demand for such a service. Most people who want to experience isolation are able to do so without having someone else hold the key.

This is probably the approach I would take. I have entered a police station of my own accord to ask them for a breathalyzer test as I did not wish to drive if I was over the legal limit but had no way to accurately tell. They were surprised but did the test.

The worst that can happen is they will say no.

I bought a sailboat to get away. When you are sailing between harbors it can take a few days. My longest trip was 3.5 days - I am not really a sailor. You just sit or lie in the cockpit contemplating everything. We found uninhabited islands in the south Bahamas where we anchored for some months. That was tranquil. I could just pick up a couple of radio stations from Florida.
I was sectioned for 6 months too. It was a learning curve.

Prison? Hospital but both of those require you to do something to be put there
