I used to twirl my hair in middle school, but friendly advice, don't pinch your eyebrows, they won't grow normally after that. that is what I did after I got over the hair twirling, now my left brow is wierd.

I really like to flick my pointer and middle fingers against each other (like move them back and forth really fast in opposite directions so they hit each other as they move) cuz it's something that feels nice, releases energy, and is moderately subtle. When that's not enough, I'll shake my hand while I do it. I also like to rub the thumb of one hand against the palm of the other. I think it feels pretty nice. When I'm alone, I like to shake my head (as if I were saying no to someone very enthusiastically :P) or rock back and forth. The stims that move more of my body definitely release more energy, but they're also much less socially acceptable.

Playing musical instruments. Probably best to pick an easy one though, at first.

I really like to cook, and so I stim when I make sauces. I use the old traditional whisk which works much better then these modern appliances. And, I really like standing there whisking away! :D

Bouncing on, hugging and pounding on a nice big yoga ball. Yoga balls are the best stimming tool out there. gives me maximum energy release.
