Is there a difference between having aspergers and just having bad social skills? When I was a kid I would say that I could make friends and I was myself and people liked me. But then once I moved to a bad area people started making fun of me for my girly voice and flamboyant attitude. So then I started to be self conscious and decided to start homeschool so I was thinking maybe that could be why. But some of the things I'm experiencing are my mind being blank and not knowing how to talk about myself or life experiences with others without choking up on my words or in the middle of the story I forget how to tell it and I don't know how to let the story flow properly. However I do not have sensitivity to sound touch or anything like that and I also do not have fidgeting and outbursts. I also know what others are feeling. Mine is just not knowing what to talk about and not being able to come up with things to say. But I also have depression and a lot of the side effects are the same with aspergers and depression. So I know you guys can't give me medical advice or diagnoses but I just want opinions before I see a specialist. Thanks!!

Just because you don't have a disorder doesn't mean you still can't see a therapist. If you are experiencing any problems and you want help with it, go to a therapist.
