Just now I used conscious thought to not be lazy and take the dishes to the kitchen.
But it's rare for me to keep thinking about stuff I don't want to do, I usually find it just annoying and automatically stop thinking about it by doing something else to distract me or simply pretend to myself that I've forgotten about it.
I feel like willful amnesia is the root why I can procrastinate.
If I kept it in my head and thought about it willfully and thoroughly, I would just do the task.

Do you think I'm wrong (no need for proof)? Why?
Do you have proof that I'm wrong?
What's your experience with this?

I've never been able to do much that I didn't want to. The problem for me is energy levels and related health problems like Asthma which gives you a lot of lethargy. Try the buteyko breathing method if you have asthma as a related illness.
