I finally got my diagnosis. It's been a long journey to get this.

Congrats, happy for you. I'm going to go in for a ASD assessment in like 18 days. Did they send you a diagnostic report in the mail? If so, how long did it take to get to you?

It took about a month to get the report back.

I just got my diagnosis last month. The psychologist delivered the report in person. It took her six weeks because of her backlog.

They tell you your result (that you were diagnosed/not diagnosed) on the day or the day after (did for me) but the report comes later.

I was diagnosed on August 26, 2013. The 15 page diagnostic report arrived in November.

It's good that you are now diagnosed, I don't know if congratulations is the right term though. Life definitely gets easier after being diagnosed, you know who you are now, and you can learn the boundaries in which to live your life.

I said congrats just because of when he said it had been a long road to get there. As I can relate to that quite a bit.
