hello wrong planet community!
I'm a 19 years old aspie who just recently got diagnosed, and since about 10 days I am taking a medication (amphetamine sulfate) and while it definetly helps with concentrating and generally feels like my mind is less "foggy", since 2 days I am having a very strange result. instead of getting a clearer mind the medication seems to do the exact opposite, making me feel as if my mind is "jammed", even more than it usually is without medication. has anyone experienced something simmilar? I know that its not very common for aspergers to get medication, and also I have add as well, but the effect really helped me previously and I really want to know if its only temporarily..

thanks for taking your time reading this, I hope someone can give me some advice or share his experience

That is very quick for it to become ineffective or have adverse effects.

ADHD amphetamines worked for me in the beginning, but then made things much worse. They deplete magnesium and sulphur from your body which allows food acids to build up and interfere with executive functioning as well as cause anxiety and depression etc. After learning this I stopped taking them, avoided foods with salicylate acids for over a year, and supplement magnesium and sulphur via epsom salts on my skin/foot soaks/lotions etc.

While it's very quick, it is biochemically possible that something similar is going on with you as it did with me.

I've done a LOT more via diet, herbal/natural medicine, supplements & probiotics which have all worked WAY better than Dextroamphetamine ever did. If you're interested in reading what I've done, feel free to pm me and I'll share.
