Anyone else out there have this same problem? When I get a thought or plan, I have to make it happen. I cannot vary or change the subject, even for conversations...I have to be able to make sure my point is understood. And then, when it's out of my control, I get very annoyed.

I really need help; I'm getting tired of feeling like an odd-ball in life. What's the point? It never changes; I always think things will be easier. Again, I guess i'm ready to go live in a cave. (sigh....)

blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah..it never changes. I'm totally exhausted and wish someone would help....give me a game plan for letting things go and not being bothered...

I'm not sure this will help because I think I might be more internal focused than you are. I do tend to do what you do though, so maybe it will work. When I find myself feeling that compulsion to just keep at the point and I can tell they aren't interested, I walk away and just keep going over it silently in my head or go write it down instead. For me, it's an issue of getting it out. I just have to get it out of me. The other thing I do is to just insert it somehow into whatever fiction I'm writing. That way I can force the other character to listen to reason. If you don't write fiction, you could still write the situation the way you want it to go.

Oh! I used to do this when I was younger. I would write a letter to that person saying what I wanted to say then throw it out. That seemed to get it out of me and I felt like I had the last word even if they didn't read it.

So you could try those. Maybe they'll help.

I will often get to around 95% completion of something... and then get bored with it, and never finish it. :(

I've started to write a lot of what I want to say and save it for a possible book some day.

I definitely have the same problem that Cordelia has and I have to work hard to control it. I was proud of myself today for not mentioning big cats at work even once around a certain person.

Also, it sounds like I could use Cordelia in my organization if I ever get one going.
