Anyone getting this upside-down-rhythm where you can't relax at night and don't sleep until very late? If you do, have u found anything that helps?

I haven't been sleeping too well lately. I dream too much. And some of the dreams aren't so nice.

I sleep OK for the most part thou I do go to bed late. I feel relaxed at night too which is partly due to living & sleeping with my girlfriend & being on meds for my anxiety & meds that can make me more tired.

I take as many as 5 different sedating drugs to sleep at night.

I've always functioned better if I go to bed between 4-6 am. Whenever I've tried to make changes I just drag throughout the day no matter how much sleep I get or how long I've tried to adjust.

When it comes to how well I sleep, I almost never have nightmares. I also never sleep straight through. I wake up at least two times to roll over onto my other side. So I rarely wake up feeling replenished, but I wouldn't say I feel awful either.

It depends really, i am running a 26-hour carcadian rythm, so there are days where my natural sleep happens at the same time as everyone else's, which then shifts earlier and earlier untill it's reversed (sleep during the day), gets earlier again where i'll sleep in early mornings (3-4 am-ish) and finally ends up 'normal' again. where it all starts over, obviously

If there were 36 hours in a day i might be ok, But no, i find it hard to get to sleep, the whole body might be tingling with tiredness, but the mind will not stop, especially when something interests me... Or when i do try to get to sleep, i will often have a good idea/invention a problem to solve and then i can forget it! lol, so my sleep patterns are all over the place! generally 3-7am is when i get sleep in the end, i was given quetapel, which help once i am asleep but not getting me to sleep, downside of these horrid things is that i feel even more out of it for 20 hrs after than i would do naturally! Also, i think its to do with the fact there are fewer distractions when everyone is asleep, so feel more comfortable, mix that with an interest and i will go till i drop! hehe

I usually like to go to sleep very early in the morning, rather than going to bed at a time like midnight. It's a habit I want to fix at some point, but normally I sleep at 4am and wake between 10-11am

I'm nocturnal, and have this "unrefreshing sleep" fatigue issue, so even if I sleep 8 hours, I'm still tired. It sucks. I'm back on temazepam to avoid drinking myself unconscious to get any rest at all.

My sleep is pretty bad most of the time. I never get more than 6 hours or so and recently I've been getting 4 or 5 hours maximum. Sleeping pills are useless. Vigorous exercise does help somewhat but the aches and pains really set my anxiety off so it's hard to maintain.

I go to bed at about 10 PM every night. I sleep about 2-3 hours, wake up, and then go back to sleep. I usually get up at dawn, seeing as how I'm at my best in the morning.

I'm also at my best at night, can't remember the last time I slept before midnight, and now I'm trying to work so they keep nagging about my rhythm which has just gotten worse over the years it seems?? :duh: am hoping for it to be a phase, but it's been like a year now. Not easy getting them to understand that it's a problem.

I have a hard time falling asleep, and don't usually fall asleep until 3-5 AM.

Me. I sleep during the day and stay up until dawn at night.
Well I don't sleep all day but still....

I didn't find a solution. Not yet.

I normally don't sleep that long. It's about six to seven hours although I know I should go to bed earlier because it's healthier. On the weekend or in the holidays most of the time I stay up until 02:00 am and 04:00 am.
