For those who might be interested and those who supported me last time, I thought I'd update you on the happenings.

I started my new job and it was completely and utterly boring to the point where I was depressed, so I left.

I am now on the search for another job.

I just don't think it's healthy to stay somewhere that makes you feel unhappy no matter how much money you are paid.

Not that it was an awful lot of money anyway.

It can take a few tries before you find the right one. Last time I quit a long-term job I had two shorter ones in between, plus a temp job that lasted only one day. I hope you find the right job soon babybird. Keep us posted.

I wasn't around for the initial thread. What was the job you quit?

Oh, well...I have been a cold caller for a good couple of years working for one particular company. Anyway they closed their doors unfortunately. so a friend of mine got me a job selling the exact same product but instead of cold calling it was calling warm leads from online inquiries. I just found it painstakingly boring, to the point that I would come home from work depressed and close to tears.

Not only that but my new boss kept having a go at me by saying that I have the mentality of a cold caller. I couldn't win even though I was actually doing quite well.

I had enough in the end and had to call it a day.

I did leave on good terms however.

I'll be fine though. I have an interview for a PA job today. It'll be mainly working from home this one. Just helping someone out.

I've decided that I need a bit of variety in my life so I might go for a few part time jobs.

I just can't expose myself to that kind of boredom again. It was killing me off.

Thanks again everyone for all your support.

x
