I have schizoid personality disorder as confirmed by my psychiatrist.
I'm on a new medication for my depression and anxiety and I feel a little better now that I have been diagnosed and told what it actually is.
Schizoid personality disorder is very different from Schizophrenia and there are no delusions, no hallucinations, and is basically a dis-interest in socializing or having intimate relationships with anyone.
I don't form close friendships because I don't see the point in it or I feel uncomfortable with making friends or social situations.
There are a bunch of other symptoms or things that describe it but I'm kind of satisfied maybe?
To know what's happening to me or what my diagnosis is now is a kind of comfort in some way for me because now I know who I am.
I feel a little better. :D

Ah. That's cool that you know that now. :)

I thought perhaps I had schizoid instead but it turns out not in my case.

Interesting. Do you have it as well as, or instead of the autism diagnosis?

That description could also be applied to autism accompanied by asexuality. I hope your diagnostician considered that, as some people get misdiagnosed when it's actually just ASD alone but the clinician just bags for something more familiar to them.
