I went on a date Friday. I didn't "click" with the girl and I think she liked me more than I liked her. But I believe I came across as "normal" and not "weird" so that's good news. Later that night I saw the 1AM showing of Star Wars. After that I went to bed. The next day my truck was gone. I called the police and found that it had indeed been stolen and vandalized. 8O :x

It was my dad's truck. I was driving it while my car was being repaired. Now i have nothing to drive and my dad is pissed at me about his truck.

So, Sunday night I got really sick, physically. Vomiting...fever, couldn't eat or drinking. That's finally over, and now I have an exam tomorrow for which I have failed to sufficiently.

Ok, I know I'm just *itching with a B*, so goodnight!

Sorry about your truck and I hope they
catch the culprit. In regards to Starwars,
I hated ep#1, I thought a more appropriate
title for ep#2 was "As the Universe Churns",
and ep#3 was Awesome."

Sincerely,
Ghosthunter

I totally agree! Ep's 1 and 2 should have been compressed into one movie so that they wouldn't WASTE MY TIME! But 3 made up for them.

Good luck with the ghost hunting, Ghosthunter.

With your truck, I suggest getting a private investigator on it. The police suck, they are lazy and incompetent. You will not find it fast enough or at all with them.

By the way, how were you able to get a girlfriend? I am not trying to sound rude, but I would like a girlfriend and want some pointers.

Thanks for the compliments! My view of you was not tainted because when I first came to this site I was trying to learn as much as I could about Asperger's. You did overwhelm me with questions but it is good to see someone paying attention.

The truck was found and insurance will cover the repairs. So now it's just a huge headache but definitely manageable.

I was just saying I went on a date... it was a singular event and not a girlfriend. "How to get a girlfriend" is a huge HUUUGE question because there is no one definite answer. I'm much better at the "getting dates" stage than at moving acquaintences up to relationships. I consider my past relationships to be statistical outliers AKA flukes. I've been single for more than 2 years now despite having stepped up my "dating game" significantly

Here's what you should do: Get on a dating site, become a premium (paying) member so you have full emailing abilities. Then, email every female on there who you consider at least somewhat attractive. You catch more fish with a bigger net. At very least make a few internet-friends to catch with. When you catch, imagine in your head that you are having a face-to-face conversation, and keep track of what kinds of remarks and comments get the best responces from her. And NEVER EVER go into a rant and NEVER EVER whine about something for more than a few sentences.

I have just ran out of words. Let me know what you think.

I don't know if that's what you were looking for. If you have any more-specific question I could perhaps help you better.

or...

You could write "I NEED A GIRLFRIEND" on a piece of cardboard and stand on the interstate off-ramp. I see people doing that all the time except their signs say "I NEED MONEY." :D

I was hoping you'd say the truck was "stolen" to be on Overhaulin' and it'd come back all pimped out. Hope you had better luck on that exam, at least.[/i]

Or instead, beg people with offers of money to go out with someone.

Hope the truck comes back.

I have never heard of a car thief stealing a truck and then bringing it back in even better condition than it was in originally. I'd say that would be a NICE world if it happened like that.

Yeah - it's a TV show now. The prank you into thinking your hoopty got stolen and they bring it back totally redone. It's kinda lame for all the emotional crap you have to go through, but the payoff seems worth it. Have a look.

Glad they found the truck, in whatever condition it was in.

For me, the question is becoming "Why?" instead of "How?"

I've been living in a common-law relationship for over 6 years now. During that time I've been subjected to all sorts of attempts to change my personality and/or make me live up to the Hollywood "marital bliss" stereotype. Just a few days ago my bf turned to me and said "you're very egocentric and sometimes I don't think you empathize with me at all." Well, DUH! I explained autism again and was told I was just hiding behind a label so I wouldn't have to try. I think we're both ready to move on. He wants a romantic NT (which I will never be) and I just want to be free to be me. I think an AS/AS relationship might work....
