I'm curious -
How did you come across your current interest/s?
Were you actively looking for something new to get into or was it by accident?
What does your interest do for you?
What led to your attraction to this subject?
Is there a purpose to it or do you just enjoy it?
If it is just for enjoyment, can you describe that further?
Do you use it to help socially, as in to do with a group or individual, or is it for solitary personal benefit?
What is it about this particular thing that attracts or engages you so much?
Do your interests change or remain the same?
At what rates do they change, if so?
Do you do the autistic thing and go on and on at length about them to everyone, or keep it to yourself?

Unfortunately many of my interests are impossible right now - I move around, I have no money to support them, I significantly changed my diet so my recipes aren't usable, I have some physical problems, life in general. I've been looking for something to get into, something new. I'm attracted to sign language, and just found a video sign bank. I may have struck gold. Speaking is getting progressively more difficult and uncomfortable for me and an alternative seems attractive. Signing is also highly intuitive I'm finding, much moreso than speaking, and I'm able to remember the signs quite easily which is unusual with my memory issues. If I get obsessed about this enough to learn workably, I could use this for translation purposes, volunteer or paid. I can also use it to indicate I don't talk if I'm not comfortable doing so, without appearing antisocial or rude. I'm interested in ways to communicate because I don't communicate so well sometimes. I'm also just after something new to occupy me and to learn, and enjoy learning this particular subject.
What about you all?
