Took the AQ10 test today and only got a 4

So today I finally had my first step in my Aspergers diagnosis and took the AQ10 test where I only got a 4 and the cut off is 6, the test was done verbally and honestly a lot of the questions I said slightly agree/slightly disagree now that I think about it really should've been definitely agree/disagree. It was just hard for me to think on the spot like that and had I done it on Paper I know I would've gotten at least a 6.

The guy who did the test said he'd refer me back to my GP and see if I can get a complete assessment but I'm worried I messed up and they'll think I don't have it and won't get a proper diagnosis. I just took the full AQ test and scored 38 which makes much more sense and my mom's a psychologist and diagnosed me years ago so I know I have it but unfortunately she can't legally diagnose me and now that I'm 20 I have to go through this long process.

Have any of you taken the AQ10 test and gotten below 6?

He gave you an autism assessment verbally? I'd ask for a second opinion on those grounds alone. I have had a new boss at work and it's taken a full year for me to establish meaningful dialog. Most of the year has been me nodding in meetings and trying write important things down before and after meetings. Also, the test, at what 10 questions is more like a quiz. I'd be pissed. I am pissed, sorry.
