Hi. I'm running for office at my local college republicans chapter. Any tips on my speech? I've never done this before and I'm not good at giving speeches. Do you think alcohol would help?

Alcohol? No way! You will screw up the whole thing.

I don't mean getting drunk, like half a beer. or maybe a full one...

Alcohol negatively affects your ability to think clearly.

Mostly true, but for many, many people, it is simply a way to cut the edge.

That being said, I have no idea how it would affect you or the person who started the thread.

I can't drink beer because my family on my mother's side all have this weird allergy to the ingredients, ie. migraines. Some people can get drunk on very little while some can drink for hours and still look sober. It is a very individual thing.
