Does anyone else have the problem where a loud noise (such as a car engine revving up) goes off, and this sense of uncontrollable anger just overtakes you? Like, to the point of wanting to scream and beat the crud out of the next person to bad mouth you? I'm assuming this could be related to AS-esque sensory issues? Or do I just have severe anger issues?

Any unwanted sound makes me angry, but loud ones are worse. I think there's a word for when sounds cause anger. I think it's misophonia or something along those lines. There's bound to be somebody on this forum who knows more about it though.

No, I totally agree with you. I hate hearing loud engines and loud motorcycles. I hate it when cars zoom by. Once I heard one of my neighbours revving up his car and it was so freaking loud I ran out to the front and screamed really loudly "Shut Up". That's usually not even like me but I couldn't stand the noise. When I was little I used to be scared of the sound of fireworks. I hate the sound of balloons popping. I usually get irritated and cranky when I hear really loud sounds.

I sometimes feel this way, though I never act on it. I try to just calm myself down internally without making too much of a scene. Getting away from the chaos is almost a must.

<---- Would be too busy with his headphones on.

But off, I just jump, if unexpected. But don't get angry.

And also...

Blinds
Doors
Windows (we have wooden sash windows)
Alarm clocks

I have been obsessively measuring my pulse rate and blood pressure this week, it's amazing what these noises do to me.

Mostly, its the noise my dog makes. Or my mother yelling at them. ALL THE *FREAKING TIME!*
Mainly because that is utterly ineffective and she knows this. But to admit it would mean that I was RIGHT about it. She tries to overpower everything with her voice. It can really grate on my nerves.
Also, our largest parrot can really let out some shrieks than unravel me at times. But that usually only makes me annoyed. Unless I am having dental issues, than just about anything over 3 decibils drives me crazy with rage..

Sincerely,
Matthew

I get mad at my girlfriend every time she slams the door(shuts it without turning the knob) or talks too loud. I hate it.

Sounds annoy me or make me angry very often. I'm really sensitive to sound. I tend to get angry at whoever's responsible for the noise as well. I very often sitting in my room saying "shut up, shut up, SHUT UP" out loud just to get the anger out in some way. Ha :)

This isn't racial, but the sound of Spanish makes me very angry. If your from the states you probably would think this is a bad comment to make...

But it really bothers my ears from the tones/pitch of things that are said. English can often be spoken in a calm/dull/monotone voice, but Spanish doesn't have that luxury. Its odd because Japanese doesn't bother my ears, but then again a lot of it is deep also. If its two people speaking spanish (such as I had my mother/her sister in law), in my car talking about - toothpaste, its loud enough to cause me great pain and make me angry.

There seems to be chemistry going on in my head whenever stuff like sudden very loud noises and other sensory overloads affect me.

It starts with anxiety, then the anxiety becomes too much it causes anger, the anger then results in sadness and the sadness will finally cause extreme fatigue together with extreme ADD.

So to simplify it, loud noises make me want to lie down and sleep at that moment, bizarre eh?
