I can get really attached to people emotionally to the point where I become depressed,self harm and have suicidal thoughts If i cant see them or if i go to long without being with them. I need attention and I need to be loved/ cared about by other people. because of my social anxiety It is hard for me to get close to people and when I get close to people I become so emotionally attached to them that I cant be happy without them. Is this part of asd or something else?

Spectrumites usually have trouble attaching to people emotionally.

I can see where another person can become a special interest in this way.

I have the same thing and I have been told that it's part of my ASD.
