My teacher was bullying. Well she wasn't a teacher she was an occupational therapist at my school. That I dreaded going every once a week because I have a physical disability. (I think I have Aspergers but she doesn't know that.) She bullied me. She made of my stims and imitated them, and would make comments like I am not normal, no wonder why I have no friends, I'm weird etc. She would make comments on the smallest physical flaw about me.

It was if she was looking at me with a magnifying glass! She comment on how my breath stinks, (which is very hypocritical coming from her who had stinky coffee breath all the time! And I said anything I would get in trouble.) How my hair is frizzy, how my nails were too long and made me cut them everytime I went there with her nail cliper. (And I like to keep my nails long!) Made a big fuss when I had the smallest dirt smudge on my neck you could barely see unless you look closefriends I'm so skinny. And other things every session I go there. I have become paranoid before I go there asking my friends if I look okay, if they think I'm weird, if I'm there friend.

And nothing I ever do is right with her in my sessions. She always tells me I'm not trying hard enough. Even though I am. I am trying so hard that my arms and legs hurt so much after every session. She tells me I am lazy and I won't go very far in life if I don't try harder. And when I actually do something right. She just says oh well you should know how to do that anyway, see that was easy, or the occasional well done.

I have gone to my next classes crying because of what she says/acts. I don't know what to do. She makes me out to be a lazy student to some other teachers. I am not the only one that does not like her. A few other students told me what she has said to them and that they don't like her rude, bossy, pretentious attitude. My dad does not like her because she yelled at him for not being me to my dentist appointment. My dad insisted it was tomorrow. But she assumed she was right and continued to talk down to him.

Turns out my dad was right. And brought me to my dentist appointment. My dad told my dentist about that her and what an attitude she has. My dentist said she knew her and that she was pretentious and had a know it all attitude. Me and my dad laughed.
But I did get to see the embarrassed look on her face when my dad rubbed it in that he was right. Her face was priceless!

I hope I don't have her again next year which I probably will. What do you guys think I should do if I do? And have you ever had a mean teacher?

Egad! that Occupational Therapist is a monster!

Can't you get some other O-Therapist?

Yeah...when I went to school, teachers really didn't care for me. I would be singled out quite a bit, and get thrown out of class.

I know right she is crazy!

No unfortunately there is only one and it's her. But there is a physiotherapist that sometimes replaces the occupational therapist if she is away. She is much nicer too! But she only works some days.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Teachers can be just as bad as students when it comes to bullying. Sadly you only hear about student on student bullying in schools never the teachers. Though it happens often to students especially disabled students.

I go back to the days when the teacher was master/mistress of the classroom. There was only one teacher in the classroom--no "assistant teachers."

I don't think most of them were bullies---but they really weren't interested in educating me, really. All they were interested in was keeping order in the classroom.

I started liking school a little bit when I started high school. Before then, it was pretty much drudgery, and a thing I had to do every day.

Yeah I think was happened with my teachers at my former school. They would rather throw me out of the classroom then check to see what was wrong. I love high school compared to my old school. The teachers are more nicer and caring, I am learning a lot more, there are more people that share my interests.

I thought about doing that but I'm worried I might get caught and get in trouble. I am not a careful person either.

Do you have any idea what you want to major in when you get to University?

Wouldn't it be ironic if YOU wanted to be an Occupational Therapist?

Not sure if recording people without their consent is a legal thing to do. In my country it's not! Just saying.

I feel bad that this has happened to you Aspergirl16.
Clearly that woman has issues.

I had a teacher who was like that during my MS years. She often threatened me and an old friend who had LFA to be sent to the principal's office.

During my HS years, another teacher never took anyone with special needs very seriously.

I don't think it is.

Thanks and she does but she tries to make herself come across as caring to some teachers.

I'm sorry that happened to you she sounds like a b*tch! BTW what does LFA mean?

Yeah it is sad when teachers are bigots.

LFA is "low-functioning autism." In order to be LFA, by and large, the person would, basically, have to have little or no speech and an IQ below 70. The person would also have to have discernible deficits in everyday functioning.

Within the DSM-V in the US, the person would have "Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 3."

Quick bit of googling suggests that under NZ law, recording her without her knowledge would not be illegal as you yourself are privvy to the conversation in question. I'd say do it, this is horrific.
