If you're on public transportation amongst strangers, it's probably unwise to tell a loud person to quiet down.

If the person is an acquaintance of yours, though, you could politely say, "could you keep it down a little, please?" Or something like that.

I don't like it when my wife talks loudly, or plays the TV loudly.

It's probably better to politely tell the person to quiet down, rather than demand that the person quiet down.

Just tell them like anyone else.

PS: Didn't you already make an NT thread?

I don't think it will work if you tell people to stop being loud.
They will probably not take it too well if they are in a public place that does not restrict noise like talking loudly.
They may quiet down if you ask politely at the library or some other place that restricts noise.
I suggest wearing ear plugs or noise-canceling headphones if you are can't stand noise.

I can apply that to a lot of kids in the special ed school for autism that I attend.

It only seems like it's only NT's because NT's are the only people you are around for the most part.

I have problems with specific pitches and combinations of sounds.
Several conversations going on nearby and I simply cannot discern what the person speaking to me is saying.
Sharp clapping (my lad does this when watching the TV) is physically painful.
Someone interrupting a conversation when I am speaking and I just become dumb and cannot re-start.

It is about input overload surely?
