false diagnosis? please help
I went and saw my doctor and we spoke about me and social issues and then he gave a written note saying i have an asd. He said he would write down the diagnosis in the system. When i told my psychologist she said "WHAT" and was very mad and said that "we don't give diagnosis just like that".
She seems under the impression that i do not have Aspergers because i can read happy and sad emotions.
What will happen? Will they remove the diagnosis? I am having trouble understanding the situation. I am quite sure i have aspergers and i have done very much research on the subject.

I don't think one doctor can remove another doctor's diagnosis. I don't think either of them gave you a proper evaluation though. The psychologists definition sounds more anecdotal than scientific. I mean I can tell when someone is happy or sad. I can even tell when a dog is happy or sad. And a dog can tell when a person is happy or sad for that matter. Reading more complex and or subtle emotions, is when people with autism start having difficulty. Like someone giving some obscure look that's supposed to mean something. Try and find someone who specializes in diagnosing autism. I was diagnosed when I was two years old but am still put through rigorous testing yearly to determine my current situation. if I went in and was just asked a few questions, or they said they can tell I'm autistic because of some telltale sign, and that's all, my parents would ask for a refund.
I'm not sure how much weight it even carries for your doctor to put something down in their system and give you a note. It might help you get disability accommodations in work or college, but if you were going to get some kind of government assistance or public school accommodations, I think they want more "proof." If a psychologist was going to give you treatment, even if they agreed with the diagnosis, they'd probably want tests to understand more about your abilities.
My GP gave me that kind of informal diagnosis of ADHD, but in my case, that was useful because it allowed me to get medication.
What country do you live in?
Nothing bad will happen if you are diagnosed with something you don't have. I know you said you feel like you have aspergers but I just felt like pointing that out. Like EzraS pointed out, I don't think one doctor can remove another doctor's diagnosis so nothing bad can happen regardless. You get a diagnosis that matches you and you profit or you get a diagnosis that doesn't match you and while it stays in your record. Nothing bad will happen because its there, I have diagnosed with everything under the sun and some are obvious mismatches but one doctor can't have say over another doctor.
