One of my favorites is being able to hear billiard balls smacking together from a place that is way down the street.

I'm hearing impaired and wear hearing aids.
They seem to amplify little clicky noises a thousand times.
People that use phones etc with the clicky keyboard drive me mental.
Or clicky pens.

It's pretty good with the hearing aids out.
Except for the not being able to hear part.
That's pretty crap.

Yes. It sucks when I'm in group work because there's nothing I can do about it. People talking, paper rustling, the guy beside me doodling with his pensil, is a pensil really this loud? It's like a buzz.

At home I.keep the tv series on, or the music, that covers the rest (better) and helps me focus, on watching or and thinking and searching here.

what I hate are air fresheners. I mean seriously, how can anyone prefer such a sharp, overbearing smell to the dull background odour of a slightly smelly room? I mean yes, if the room smells unpleasant you want to get rid of that smell, but to do it with something that has such an overpowering smell seems kinda pointless. It's like drowning out fair-volumed music with a fire alarm or avoiding a draught by jumping into an oven.
