I hope this is allowed. I'm short on time so I understand if this is deleted later.

Point is I'm starting a support group and I hide a lot online so I wanted to share online. I really want it to work out. I tried this 4 years ago and it didn't go so well. I know we can get out there and socialize with each other!

I'm in Illinois. Absolutely freaking hate the place.

But I'm in the northern half of the state. Fortunately not close to the hellhole known as Chicago though. Couldnt pay me to go near that place.

That being said I've been to support groups as well myself, but they usually seem to end badly... I'm not entirely sure why.

The last time I was in one, well... within TWO meetup sessions, it completely devolved into this ONE guy who would spend literally the entire thing endlessly ranting about how awful his life was because he had no girlfriend. The whole time... every time. Just... ugh. I havent gone back to another support group after that. Though, there seem to be very few such things around anyway.

Hopefully you have better luck than that.

Yeah, I'm from Belvidere; born in Rockford and left as soon as I was legal. Came back for school and got as far south as I could (SIU). It's not so busy here, not so flat, not so much corn (bonus). I really hope this group goes better. I'm in the process of writing out some strict rules but I'm gonna miss something. It's inevitable. Going at it for at least 3 months.
